Journey

From beginner to coach

2005

Learned the rules as a child. Immediately fell in love with the game.

2006 · · · 2020

Passionate but not dedicated, playing casually with friends and family. First chess book borrowed from a library in 2010.

2021

Created first online account on chess.com at 1000 Rapid. Playing regularly but still learning little.

2022

Joined a local chess club, surrounded for the first time by passionate players stronger than me. Started watching video tutorials on YouTube.

2023

Began lessons with a FIDE Master, still ongoing! Steady linear progress despite a busy schedule (university, teaching, concerts).

2025: the year of milestones!
Surpassed 1800 Rapid, 1600 Blitz & Bullet on chess.com. Crossed 1900 in all categories on Lichess. Finished university studies. Played first OTB tournament at the Biel Chess Festival. Earned official FIDE rating of 1739. Launched DadoMatto!

2026
Crossed 2100 ELO on Lichess in both Bullet and Rapid, a new personal milestone!

2030
Candidate Master title. That is the ultimate goal.
